The Calendar centralizes and visualizes your matter deadlines and other critical dates that keep your legal staff aligned. By automatically connecting with other tools in Composure, your calendar will store and surface all relevant events and deadlines to you and your staff.
What is Calendar?
The calendar displays all weekly and monthly events and deadlines based on information baked into your team’s projects and tasks. Furthermore, the calendar integrates with the Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar associated with your email login. So, if you have staff meetings already on your work email profile, you can trust Composure’s calendar to reflect that information for you in the platform.
The calendar also connects to individual tasks in your Composure profile. For any tasks you are assigned to with pre-designated action dates or deadlines, the title of those tasks will surface on that calendar date.
To view the content of your calendar, navigate to the Calendar page.
The next window will automatically display the current month’s calendar with the current date highlighted. Any date with an event attached to it will display a bubble for visibility, and when you select the date, additional event details will populate below.
Note that the calendar feature is only available to staff members and administrators. Collaborators and outside counsel will not have access to this tool.
Filter your calendar
Navigate through each calendar month using the buttons on the top left side of the Calendar page:
- The “Today” button will always return you to the current month or week.
- The “Previous” button will display the month prior to the one being displayed.
- The “Next” button will display the month following the one being displayed.
By default, your calendar will display the entire calendar month each time you navigate to that page with the “Days” view option at the top right of the window. This gives you an aerial view of everything going on over a several-week period.
However, to get a closer perspective on day-by-day events, select the “Week” button to the right of that former option to display an hourly overview of the current calendar week.
Add an event
To add a new event, select the “Add Event” button at the top right of the window.
A modal will appear prompting you to enter:
- Event title
- Start date
- Start time (anchored to the start date)
- End date
- End time (anchored to the end date)
All fields require an entry. Once all details are completed, select “Add,” and the event will immediately populate within your calendar.
