Legal analytics
By funneling your workstreams seamlessly into one platform, Composure compiles data across all your legal matters and synthesizes analytics that help you manage your legal department more effectively.
How can Composure’s analytics help you?
As administrator, you have several reporting tools at your disposal. Daily reports that summarize the health of your intake pipeline and monitor individual staff members’ contributions are easily accessible within your administrator dashboard. Additionally, through a live, automatic assessment of your team’s bandwidth, you can keep track of which staff members might be under or over-utilized.
Under the Analytics page, you can further refine your bandwidth tracking across all staff members, assess the health of projects under your team’s purview, monitor ticket progress, review task completion, and conduct deep-dive analyses into individual employees' work contributions.
Whether it’s helping you assign work more effectively or enabling you to recognize the many contributions of your legal staff, Composure’s analytics can be modified to suit your department’s needs.
Analyze staff bandwidth
This tool will be most effective once all staff members have been onboarded with work assigned, as this report assesses work hours available by employee based on the current amount of work assigned to them.
From your administrator dashboard, navigate to the top of the screen to find “Team Bandwidth,” and all staff members actively contributing to your department’s legal work will populate in that section. Review each individual’s bandwidth as marked by the bandwidth gauge next to each of their names. Below those gauges, you can review each individual’s weekly utilization.
If you navigate to the Analytics page, under the “Staff Bandwidth” tab you will find an aggregated view of the team’s bandwidth on a day-by-day basis. Using the tools at the top of the screen, filter individuals in or out as needed while editing date range, and team designation. To find the reporting format that best suits you, toggle through the following report types:
- Bar graph
- Donut display
- Line graph
- Polar area display
- Radar display
Analyze individual and team contributions
To assess the performance of individuals on your team, navigate to the “Individual” tab on the Analytics page. In addition to being able to filter by date range and staff designation, you can assess individual performance by the following categories:
- Tasks assigned
- Tasks completed
- Tickets assigned
- Tickets completed
- Number of user comments
- Number of files uploaded
To assess your team’s progress on high-value projects, the “Projects” tab under the Analytics page offers several viewing options. In addition to being able to filter by date range, you can assess team project completion across:
- Project status
- Project type
- Project progress (which reports projects by their percentage completion)
Furthermore, under the “Tasks” tab, you can see the number of specific projects tasks that have been created, are currently pending, or already completed across any date range.
Review intake pipeline health
Navigate to the “Tickets” tab on the Analytics page to review the number of tickets submitted and completed over any date range. Through this view, you can assess how effective your team is at managing the intake volume it faces on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Under the “Ticket Status” tab, you can gain a live look at where all active tickets are in the intake pipeline. Over any date range, you can review the number of tickets across each ticket milestone, namely:
- In progress
- Hold
- Signature
- In review
- Countersign
- Complete
Download and share analyses
Any report you generate under the Analytics page can be downloaded and distributed to individual staff members, employees, or business stakeholders.
To do so, simply navigate to the tab with the report you wish to download, filter and modify your report as needed, and select the “download” icon at the right of the screen. From the dropdown menu, you can select the format in which you want to download the report, namely as an Excel file, a PDF file, or a PNG file.
Once selected, the report will immediately download and surface in your preferred format.
